What is EdgePeak?

Edgepeak is Broadpeak’s next-generation HTTP caching engine, specifically optimized for handling massive concurrency and minimal latency scenarios. EdgePeak powers high-output streaming and advanced caching functionalities.

EdgePeak is an HTTP High Performance Caching engine. It operates at a performance level previously thought unachievable.

Its primary goal is to receive requests and provide replies using the HTTP protocol. In this knowledge center, we describe how to set up a minimal EdgePeak Web Server that can receive requests and provide answers (i) generated locally or (ii) forwarded to an upstream server (i.e., acting as a reverse proxy).
