Red Hat 9, Rocky Linux 9, or newer (bare metal recommended for best performance)

Virtual machines supported with --overprovisionned for demos

Hardware & Environment

Prefer direct PCIe SSD (JBOD) for optimal caching performance

Automatic multi-core concurrency (one worker per core)

Binary Installation

Install EdgePeak from Broadpeak repositories/packages

Core binaries typically in /usr/sbin/hpcd and /usr/sbin/hpc-ctl

Configuration in /etc/broadpeak/hpc/ and /etc/sysconfig/hpcd

IMPORTANT

EdgePeak is a sharded server (i.e., one worker per core, one thread per core), which means that some internal structures such as connection pools are maintained per-core.
